He/she will oversee the overall organization, ensuring the implementation and consistency of the standards of service and execution of policies and procedures.The Executive Banquet Chef reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.As Executive Banquet Chef, you will be responsible for the following duties:Lead the banquet kitchen teamCoordinate all Banquet EventsCreate innovative menusPartner with hotel restaurant on all functions and guest satisfactionPartner with the Sales, Marketing, and Catering Teams on all hotel functionsPlan all food requisitions in a timely manner; ensure proper inventory and food cost are maintainedElevate and mentor culinary colleaguesOwn and elevate the amenity program; innovate and create engaging guest offeringsEnsure compliance with all health codes and certificationsAdhere to Safe and Sound safety policies and procedures at all timesAttend daily BEO meeting and weekly Resume meetingGuide the team to achieve 100% guest satisfactionFinancial ResponsibilitiesManage food and labor costs per departmental budgetsPrepare weekly schedulesHuman Resources responsibilitiesCommunicate effectivelyUtilize the Colleague Handbook to support communication of policies and proceduresMaintain Forbes Five Star, LQE, LQA and FLHSS standardsOrganize daily colleague communication meetingAs Executive Banquet Chef, we expect from you: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role; experience in luxury hospitality is strongly preferred.Proven experience leading a team.Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of the shift; ability to frequently push, pull, and lift carts or items weighing up to 25 pounds.Desirable:Culinary degreeOur commitment to youLearning & Development.
