Job Description
A Rack Test Technician is responsible for various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and operation of Test Infrastructure racks. Here are some common responsibilities and requirements for the position,Perform rack installs and decommissioning: This includes ensuring that all equipment is properly installed and that racks are ready for removal or replacement. Assist in troubleshooting: The technician should be able to troubleshoot facility and rack-level events and provide input for improvements to standard processes and procedures. Fabricate and assemble: The technician may be responsible for fabricating and assembling racks, as well as performing testing procedures. Quality control testing: This involves ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly and that the quality standards are met before delivery to the project job site. Follow technical documentation: The technician must be able to interpret and follow technical documentation, SOPs, and BOMs to ensure proper assembly and integration of hardware. Responsible for conducting tests on products, systems, or components to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. Key responsibilities include:Conducting Tests: Executing a variety of testing procedures to evaluate functionality, reliability, and durability. Documenting Results: Accurately recording and analyzing test results to inform product development and quality assurance. These roles require a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, some positions may require certifications or specific skills related to the technology being managed.
