DevOps Engineer

*************This position requires US citizenship and an TS/SCI clearance************The project you will be working on uses advanced web-based technology to provide Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and related GEOINT services and tools to our client’s internal and external customers. The project team will provide support for engineering, technical assessment, development, and other required activities that leverage COTS, GOTS, open source, and other technology needed to advance mission-related efforts.Requirements...Troubleshoot and resolve system/operational incidentsPerform root cause analysis for operational incidentsAnalyze system performance and take corrective actions as neededAssist Tier 2 with resolving complex system and end user problemsManage, configure, and automate OpenShift environments to support scalable application development and deployment.Network and coordinate with other mission partners, applications, and other external entities in troubleshooting incidents and integration problemsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenSelf-starter with an ability to work in a team environment and independentlyStrong problem solving and decision-making skillsCollaborate with development teams to integrate and deploy applications within the OpenShift environment.Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability of the OpenShift platform.Optimize and scale OpenShift clusters to enhance performance and efficiency.Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations and processes.System Security CoordinationMonitoring system health, report and resolving hardware and software issuesWill require occasional after hours and/or weekend work to support operational issue resolution and maintenance windowsOther duties as assigned.Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on AWS and OpenShiftAbility to design and operate high availability applications across availability zones and availability regionsComprehension of computer technology and ability to quickly learn related concepts and new software products.Desired Skills:Experience with Service+OpenShift certification or similar certificationExperience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.Experience configuring and deploying containerized applications on OpenShift using Kubernetes best practices.Familiar with implementing GitOps workflows for automated, declarative deployments.Strong working knowledge of Linux system administration in support of containerized environments.Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK stack.Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps and continuous improvement methodologies.Good oral and written communications skills with experience in delivering to a Government customerExperience serving in an “on-call” role supporting emergency response to application or system issues on occasionYears of Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in DevOps, with a focus on OpenShift or another container orchestration platform.Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related technical degree preferredLocation: Onsite in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MOClearance: Must have TS/SCI and be willing to submit to a government CI polygraph
