Job DescriptionJob Title: Waste Water Treatment Project EngineerStart Date: June 2026Job Type: Contract - 12 months (possible extensions based on performance)Pay Rate: $100-115/hrLocation: Clayton, NCSchedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMJob Summary:Required Knowledge / Experience of ContractorNeed for a supplemental Waste Water reuse Project engineer to support execution of a large, complexindustrial wastewater reuse capital project.This role is intended to augment the site engineering team during peak project execution and commissioningphases. The contractor will provide hands-on technical and project engineering support, working onsitealongside internal Facilities / Utilities engineering resources and external EPCM partnersIndustrial wastewater or water reuse engineering experience - demonstrated experiencesupporting biological treatment, membrane systems, or advanced wastewater treatmentprocesses in an industrial environment.Capital project execution support experience - experience reviewing design deliverables andsupporting construction, commissioning, and startup activities for medium ‐to‐large capitalprojects.Strong onsite field presence and coordination skills - ability to work onsite with constructionteams, EPCM partners, and operations to resolve technical issues and support execution.Construction & Commissioning Support* Support construction execution through:o Field walkdownso Installation verificationo Technical resolution of RFIs and field issuesAssist with commissioning, startup, and system turnover activities.Support punch list development and resolution.Coordinate closely with Operations during readiness and handover.Vendor, EPCM, and Stakeholder Coordination* Interface with:o Engineering contractors (EPCM)o Equipment vendorso Third-party subject matter experts (SMEs)* Track technical action items, open issues, and design clarifications.* Communicate technical risks and impacts to site engineering leadership.Documentation & Knowledge Transfer* Support preparation and review of technical documentation for:o Project gate approvalso Regulatory and permitting supporto Operations handover packages* Assist with maintaining organized technical records and decision logs.Required Skills / Qualifications* Bachelor"s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.* Minimum 5 years of experience supporting industrial wastewater treatment, waterreuse, or related process/utility projects.* Demonstrated experience supporting capital projects through design and construction.* Working knowledge of biological treatment processes, membrane systems, andindustrial utilities.* Prior involvement in commissioning and startup of wastewater treatment or water reusesystems.* Ability to work effectively onsite in a regulated, brownfield manufacturing environment.Preferred Qualifications* Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly regulated industrialmanufacturing environments.* Familiarity with EPCM delivery models and large capital project governance.* Strong field presence and comfort working directly with construction and operationsteams.If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
