Subsea Systems Engineer
Job SummaryThe Subsea Systems Engineer will support the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of subsea production systems for offshore oil & gas developments in Guyana. This role ensures subsea equipment integrity, reliability, and compliance with project and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the design and engineering of subsea systems including trees, manifolds, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF).Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure subsea equipment meets project specifications.Review and approve technical documentation such as drawings, procedures, and specifications.Monitor installation and commissioning activities offshore, ensuring safe and efficient execution.Troubleshoot subsea system issues and provide technical support during operations.Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ISO).Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and design reviews.Support lifecycle management, inspection, and maintenance planning for subsea assets.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Offshore Engineering (or related field).5+ years of experience in subsea systems within offshore oil & gas projects.Experience with deepwater developments is highly preferred (Guyana basin experience a plus).Familiarity with subsea hardware such as Christmas trees, control systems, and umbilicals.Strong understanding of installation methods and offshore operations.Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.
