Disaster Recovery Specialist
MISO is seeking an IT Disaster Recovery Analyst II to support and strengthen our enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) program. In this role, you’ll help ensure compliance, improve recovery processes, and enhance the resilience of critical technology systems. You’ll collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to document recovery requirements, coordinate testing, and implement solutions that support regulatory standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building reliable, resilient systems.Your responsibilities as our IT Disaster Recover Analyst II will include:Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure timely restoration of critical systems, applications, and dataPlanning and executing disaster recovery exercises, simulations, and tabletop testsMonitoring and evaluating DR tools, technologies, and processes for effectiveness and compliancePartnering with stakeholders to define recovery objectives, strategies, and priorities based on business impact analysisCreating training materials and providing guidance to teams involved in recovery effortsDocumenting lessons learned, incident reports, and recommending improvements following tests or real eventsContributing to broader business continuity and resilience initiativesSupporting and enhancing compliance efforts, including NERC CIP-009 program improvementsSkills Needed For Our IT Disaster Recovery Analyst IIBachelor’s degree in a related field OR five (5) years of relevant experienceExperience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing (enterprise environment preferred)Solid foundation in infrastructure and network fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers), with exposure to cybersecurity preferredCertifications That Are a BonusCertified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) – DRI InternationalAssociate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) – DRI InternationalAppropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.Transformative innovation is happening in the electric industry, from digitalizing homes and distributed resources to renewable energy and an ever-changing grid. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
