Dual Enrollment Advisor
Serve as the primary Student Success Advisor for dual enrollment students, offering ongoing academic guidance and support.Support student success initiatives for dual enrollment participants through targeted success activities.Assist monitoring dual enrollment success with assignments and grades in Canvas.Monitor dual enrollment attendance in on campus, high school and distance classes.Assist high school students with developing a personal career path.Track students' academic performance, attendance, and engagement; intervene as needed to support student success.Collaborate with faculty on the progress of dual enrollment students in their classes.Monitor Early Alerts on dual enrollment students.Partner with high school counselors to review Early Alerts, student progress and coordinate support strategies.Communicate with students and families via multiple platforms (phone, email, in-person) to provide academic counseling and support.Plan and implement activities to help students be successful in their college classes.Maintain a general knowledge of other college admission, financial aid, testing, academic, career technical and student support services.Support the transition of students from high school to postsecondary education and training and the workforce.Serve as Student Success Advisor for dual enrollment students.Provide comprehensive services and referrals to Florence distance education and FHS Early College Pathway students, including but not limited to: academic advising, assessment, career coaching, career services, and disability support services.Support NWSCC staff with recruitment activities such as Dual 2 Degree Day, Patriot Preview Days, Orientation, registration days, and on-campus group visits.Assist dual enrollment students with college experience processes such as applications, enrollment, registration, and financial aidMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, required.Minimum of one year of work experience in higher education or high school, preferred.A complete application packet consists of the following:a completed Northwest Shoals Community College online application form,a current resume, andpostsecondary transcripts (unofficial or official), which must include institution's name, college degree, and degree date.Applications may be submitted online at www.nwscc.edu.Applications should be received by no later than May 26,2026.Incomplete application packets will eliminate the possibility of an interview.
