Snowflake Data Engineer

Data Engineer with Snowflake Development - We're seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will work closely with analytics, BI, and product teams to ensure reliable, well-modelled data is available for reporting and decision-making.Required Skills:Strong SQL and data modelling experienceHands-on experience with Snowflake (architecture, performance tuning, security features)Experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, etc.)Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languageFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices Nice to Have:Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core/Advanced)Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis)Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines feeding into SnowflakeWrite and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and Snowflake-specific features (Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel)Model data warehouses/marts (star/snowflake schemas) to support analytics and reportingManage Snowflake performance, cost optimization (warehouse sizing, clustering, caching), and security (roles, RBAC, masking policies)Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, cloud storage) using tools like dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similarCollaborate with data analysts/scientists to ensure data quality and accessibilityImplement CI/CD for data pipelines and maintain documentation
