Solution Architect for Business Partnering Sites US West Coast productThe solution architect will interact with the Campus Development workstreams to provide solution guidance and expertise aligned with the RDT technology strategies.The PositionAs a Solution Architect within RDT Group Functions – Site SHE & Sustainability, you will design and guide scalable, business-aligned technology solutions. You will ensure alignment with enterprise standards, drive architectural decisions, and support the full product lifecycle in complex, multi-solution environments.Accountabilities & Responsibilities:-Solution Design: Design end-to-end, scalable solutions aligned with business goals, processes, and enterprise standards. Evolve architectures throughout the product life cycle including data models, integrations, and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).-Requirements Alignment: Bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution by translating high-level business requirements into robust technical specifications. Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive workflows and system capabilities.-Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with business process owners, product managers, and IT stakeholders to align on architecture, requirements, and delivery priorities. Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to capture user stories and target state processes.-Strategy & Technical Debt: Develop and maintain the product's technology roadmap. Drive innovation, conduct gap analyses for digital transformation, and strategically manage technical debt versus business agility.-Technology Selection: Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies, vendors, and software based on business requirements and technical feasibility. Support pilots, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and user adoption strategies.Qualifications & Requirements-Experience: 6–8+ years in IT with a proven track record combining Business Analysis and Solution/Technical Architecture in complex enterprise environments.-Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in requirement gathering, solution design, data architecture (Conceptual & Logical Data Models), and system integration patterns (APIs, event-driven, cloud).-Platforms: Experience working with enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS/Azure).-Domain Knowledge: Exposure to industrial/site domains (facility management, engineering, logistics, SHE, or sustainability) and familiarity with IoT or data-driven use cases.-Education/Certifications: Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field. Architecture/cloud (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure) or BA certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a strong plus.-Location: Due to the nature of work, daily presence on the South San Francisco campus is a requirement.
