Learn more at www.aquatech.com.Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Commercial Engineer – Mobile Water Solutions to work in our Houston, TX office. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.We are seeking a commercially minded engineer to support growth in the mobile water treatment market across North America. This role sits at the intersection of sales, engineering, and operations—translating customer needs into practical, competitive, and innovative technical solutions that win business. The Commercial Engineer will play a key role in developing proposals for both short-term Bridge and long-term (BOO) opportunities.Minimum Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or similar)5 or more years of experience in water treatment, process engineering, or a related fieldStrong understanding of water treatment technologies (e.g., filtration, RO, IX, biological systems)Experience supporting sales or working in a commercial/technical interface role preferredDemonstrated ability to develop cost estimates and support pricing strategiesJob DescriptionPartner closely with sales teams to develop technical solutions aligned with customer requirements and commercial strategy.Evaluate customer needs, site conditions, and water challenges to design a fit-for-purpose mobile treatment system.sDevelop cost models, pricing inputs, and technical scopes for proposalsPrepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals, including process design, equipment selection, and value positioningWork creatively to optimize solutions for competitiveness, speed of deployment, and profitabilityCoordinate with engineering, operations, and supply chain to validate feasibility and execution approachSupport customer meetings, technical discussions, and solution presentationsContribute to the standardization of mobile offerings and the continuous improvement of proposal tools and processesSkill RequirementsCommercially aware with the ability to balance technical rigor and business needsCreative problem solver—able to adapt standard solutions to meet unique customer challengesStrong communication skills, able to simplify complex technical concepts for customersDetail-oriented with the ability to work at pace across multiple opportunitiesCollaborative mindset and comfortable working in a matrixed organizationBenefitsAquatech offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, company-paid holidays, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).Essential FunctionsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
