Senior Project Engineer – AviationTampa, FLWe are seeking a self-motivated Project Engineer to support our aviation pursuits in the Southeast. Some travel to project sites or meetings will be required (approximately 30% of the time). Relocation will be paid for qualified candidates.Position ResponsibilitiesAs Project Engineer the daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Performs civil design using knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer. Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity. Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions. Assists in basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices. Constructs models to identify project specifications and meet related needs by performing routing aspects of engineering assignments. Other related duties may be assigned as appropriate.Education And Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of aviation design experience with detailed knowledge of FAA standards is required.Senior positions are available for candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience.Proficiency in design programs is preferred (AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, etc.).Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service.Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Willingness and ability to learn new job skills.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking. The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials, typically not exceeding 20 pounds. The office environment is indoors, characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions. Employees must have the ability to visually discern and differentiate details and colors of objects, and proficiency in recognizing sound, tone, and pitch. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow, as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods.Expected Hours of WorkThe ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule. This is an onsite position reporting to the ICE office 5 days per week.
