This project will specifically examine partitioning of actinides in nuclear legacy waste streams from the Hanford Reservation and SRS.JOB DUTIES:50% - Non-Essential - Prepare samples for batch sorption testing of radionuclide uptake. This will involve weighing out samples for uptake testing, preparing stock solutions, and working solutions.25% - Non-Essential - Spectroscopic and microscopic evaluation of samples. Samples prepared for batch testing will be taken for electron microscopy, Raman, and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to examine chemical speciation.25% - Non-Essential - Data processing and analysis.
