Robotics Data Collector
Joining our team might just be the best bond you ever make.
At CreateMe, we're building the robotics and AI that are transforming how apparel is made. Every day, we're teaching robots to manipulate soft materials with the precision and adaptability of a human—and the data you collect is what makes that possible.
As a Robotics Data Collector, you'll work alongside our Robotics and AI teams to generate the high-quality demonstration data that trains our Physical AI models. You'll join our Robotics team working on fabric manipulation, generating the demonstration data that trains our robots to handle fabric the way a person would. If you're detail-oriented, enjoy working with cutting-edge technology, and like seeing your work directly improve how robots learn, this role is for you.
NOTE: This is an on-site, part-time position at 10-15 hours per week.
What you'll do:
Operate our teleoperation rig and handheld gripper setup to collect demonstration data, pick and place, loading fabric to fixtures, t shirt assembly sub tasks, and more
Run data collection sessions from the terminal: start and stop recordings, check sensor streams, confirm each episode is captured clean
Review and annotate what you collect, flag the takes that don't meet the bar, and help define what a good episode actually looks like
Keep datasets organized and named the way our schema expects, and log your daily counts and issues for engineering
Speak up when the hardware isn't working for you, ergonomics, calibration, reliability, your feedback shapes the next version of these tools
Help set up and calibrate the robot cell, cameras, and trackers as needed
Occasionally run trained models on the robot to test them, reset scenes between trials, and record what worked and what didn't
What you bring:
Real attention to detail: you catch inconsistency across repetitive tasks, and you know the difference between a clean episode and one that needs to be tossed
Steady hands: good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination, you're comfortable working closely with robotic hardware
Comfort with a terminal: you can run basic commands without hand holding
Physical stamina: you can do hands on data collection for several hours at a stretch, with breaks, and handle the hardware that comes with it
Dependable: you follow detailed protocols, document your work, and don't need someone checking in on you to stay on track
What you'll find here:
Collaborate & Communicate every voice matters and creates a fabric of fun and collaboration
First Run you're building and learning our machines with us, you're not maintaining someone else's old one
Measured to the Millimeter because close enough isn't good enough here, we make sure every seam comes in under a millimeter, twice the precision of a needle and thread
Made to Matter what you make means less waste, less overseas shipping, more changing the world
