Company DescriptionE & E Fiber, LLC is a family owned and operated fiber installation and repair contract company. We contract for phone and electric companies, and take pride in our business and the services we provide.We are currently looking to recruit experienced technicians or inexperienced individuals to train in this field. All new hires will be added to our McMinnville, TN crew and should live in that area or willing to travel. This job takes a team effort and we would love to add to the team.This location offers a full-time , M-F work-week schedule.Starting PayTechnician-in-Training$17/hrGuaranteed raise after completion of satisfactory 90 day introductory period Possible earlier raises depending on performanceMinimum $20/hr once moved into Technician positionExceptional performance increases payExperienced Technician$20/hr - $25/hr, depending on related experienceRaise after completion of satisfactory 90 day introductory period (dependant on starting pay negotitations)Benefits OfferedOn-the-job trainingPaid Vacation (1 week/yr for first three years, 2 weeks/yr after 4 years of continuous employment)Paid Holidays (determined by location's scheduled holidays, M-F)Health insurance (E & E Fiber, LLC pays 50% of the employee only base plan premium or dollar equivalent to other plans)Dental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurance (provided by E & E Fiber, LLC)Retirement plan w/ Employee Matching (Up to 3%)Roles and ResponsibilitiesTechnician in Training Be punctual, whether starting the day or arriving for an appointment.Clean trash out of trucks from prior work day and load all required equipment for the day.Assist technician in his duties by following his instruction and direction.Ensure wiring and equipment is properly and neatly installed.Upon arrival, assist technician with the following:Perform a thorough “walk-through” with the customer;Service order should match customer request;Inform customer of wiring plan before initiating job;Job should always be performed efficiently and safely, with proper safety equipment;Final “walk-through” with customer to ensure customer satisfaction and proper equipment function; andMake sure service order is closed properly with all required information on service order and time sheet.Always be courteous to customers and co-workers.While in uniform, you represent this company. Be a positive representation.During training, technicians directly oversee, train and instruct you in the day-to-day work.Technician (Along w/ the Roles and Responsibilities of Technician in Training) Installation and repair of fiber optics in both the residential and business settingProperly use equipment (common hand tools, drills, light meters, bucket trucks, ladders, safety harnesses, etc)Ensure safety by using safety equipmentThoroughly read daily orders and properly plan route for the dayMaintain (oil changes, tire care, cleanliness, etc) work trucksAlways be prepared by having the required equipment/tools for the dayEffective communication with customers prior to appointmentsPerform a thorough "walk-through" with customers before and after installation/repair to ensure customer satisfactionAt the end of the day, make sure all service orders are completed and closed on work devices and time sheets are filled out properly, accurately and legibly.Be customer oriented and a positive representation of the company while in uniformTechnicians - you are ultimately responsible for the installation/service repair. You directly oversee and instruct the technician in training assigned to you in the day-to-ay workHere are some RequirementsTechnicians - need to have experience in the field as a fiber installation technicianEveryone will be required to access attics, basements and crawl spaces as well as climbing ladders and poles and should be physically able to do soEagerness to learnCriminal background check and drug screening are required on all new hiresMinimum education - High school diploma or GED/equivalentValid Driver's LicenseTechnicians - provide own hand tools (not required of technicians-in-training)
