Sandwich Montessori School is part of a growing educational organization focused on building strong Montessori programs and supporting educators over the long term.The Teaching Partner role is the entry point into this pathway.Many of our strongest Teaching Partners are recent college graduates or early-career professionals who want meaningful work with children while continuing to grow as educators.This role offers hands-on classroom experience, mentorship from experienced Montessori educators, and a clear pathway toward leadership in education.This position is ideal for someone who:Loves working with childrenWants to grow into a strong educatorValues calm, organized environmentsIs curious and committed to learningWhat You'll DoTeaching Partners work alongside a classroom Teacher Leader to support a calm, well-prepared environment for children.Daily responsibilities include:Supporting Montessori classroom routines and transitionsHelping prepare and maintain the classroom environmentObserving children and supporting their independenceAssisting with literacy routines and language-rich interactionsMaintaining clear communication with the classroom teamContributing to a culture of respect, order, and curiosityOver time, Teaching Partners begin leading small routines and developing their own classroom skills.What Success Looks Like in the First YearA successful Teaching Partner at Sandwich Montessori School demonstrates steady growth in the following areas during the first year:• Calm emotional regulation with children, even during busy or challenging classroom moments.• Consistent reliability and punctuality, arriving prepared and ready to support the classroom each day.• Strong preparation of the environment, helping maintain an orderly, welcoming space that supports children's independence.• Curiosity and commitment to learning, actively participating in Montessori training, coaching, and literacy development.• Positive collaboration with the classroom team, communicating clearly and contributing to a respectful and supportive environment.Teaching Partners gradually take on more responsibility as their skills develop.
