Systems Administrator

Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers and systems to ensure optimal performance and security.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.Security & Backup: Implement and maintain security protocols and data backups. Ensure systems are secure from unauthorized access and data loss.Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Regularly monitor systems and servers for issues, and proactively improve their performance and efficiency.Updates & Patching: Install and configure system updates and security patches to keep all systems current and secure.Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, developers, and project managers to implement new technologies and solutions.Disaster Recovery: Help develop, implement, and test disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans.QualificationsProven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols, and server management.Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.Knowledge of system monitoring tools and performance tuning.Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with both hardware and software.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Preferred SkillsExperience with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery systems.Familiarity with database administration.Working ConditionsFull-time position with occasional after-hours support required.May require some on-call support during nights and weekends for critical system issues.May require some travel to production facilities.
