With a diversity of people, globallocations, technologies and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate withother curious, creative 3Mers.This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public,government or military experience to a 3M career.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs a Systems Control Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosityand collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.Here, you will make an impact by:Leading preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as, but notlimited to: AC/DC drives and motors, programmable logic controllers, processcontrollers, stepper & servo motors, hydraulic and pneumatic devices, and plantsupport equipmentImplementing automated system upgrades and improvementsDetermining best practices that comply with all corporate, plant and departmentsafety rules for systems controlSupporting engineering, production, and maintenance of production, converting,assembly and packaging equipment; troubleshooting, preventative maintenance,installation, and start-up of new equipmentCreating an environment that supports all department in the attainment ofcustomer satisfactionYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) thefollowing qualifications:Possess, an associate degree/2 year certificate in a maintenance field, such asMechatronics Technology, Automation Controls/SCADA/HMI, or IndustrialElectronics (completed and verified prior to start)Three (3) years of industrial electrical (voltages up to 600V AC/DC) experience ina Manufacturing environmentTwo (2) years of experience reading and understanding mechanical, electricaland P&ID drawingsTwo (2) years of experience with technical communication to a diverse audience(including documentation, written and oral)One (1) year of experience with basic mechanical skillsAbility to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as neededAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Five (5) years of technical experience in a Manufacturing environment,Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventativemaintenance (PM)Motivation to learn and grow
