This position will specifically focus on emergency general surgery (EGS) care. Youll manage the full spectrum of EGS conditions as defined by the American College of Surgeons, including:Acute abdomen/peritonitisSoft tissue infectionsGallbladder diseaseGI obstructionPancreatitisDiverticular diseaseAppendicitisGI bleedingPerforated peptic ulcerIncarcerated herniaAdditional responsibilities include responding to trauma activations, supporting an EGS outpatient clinic, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and teaching medical students and residents. Preference will be given to candidates with minimally invasive surgical skills and/or experience in spine exposure procedures.
