Territory Sales Lead - Pet - Midwest

OVERVIEWAs a Territory Sales Lead, you will be delivering growth of General Mills Pet by meeting and exceeding business targets in Neighborhood Pet / Independent Pet Store retail accounts in the Midwest market: MN, IA, ND, and SD.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESSELLING & INFLUENTIAL COMMUNICATIONGrow General Mills Pet by selling new and existing products into Neighborhood Pet / Independent Pet Store accounts within your territoryServe as the primary contact for store owners, managers, and distributor representativesConduct business reviews with customers to assess sales results and identify future opportunitiesDeliver effective customer education and build strong, productive relationshipsPartner with distributors to educate and earn recommendationsLeverage trade funds and in-store activations to increase salesPROBLEM SOLVING & ANALYTICSUse insights to drive category leadership, including assortment reviews, pricing analysis, seasonal program planning, new item introductions, and promotional planningLog visits and activity daily in SalesforceEXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCETake personal accountability for results and demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needsShow enthusiasm for General Mills Pet products, categories, and priorities, linking them to customer growthEnsure excellent in-store executionManage trade funds and assigned budgets responsiblyMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAt least 2 years of sales experience in retailMust reside within or near the assigned geographyDemonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technology and toolsStrong partnership-building and communication skills across all levels, including presentation facilitationProficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to travel daily, including up to 4 hours of driving per day, 20% overnight travel, and occasional weekend workAbility to lift and carry up to 30 lbsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPet EnthusiastExperience with CRM systems and TableauADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONSInternational relocation or international remote working arrangements will not be considered.Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
