Account manager –– Surfactants (Industrial & Personal Care Applications)
Summary In this role you will develop and execute the sales & marketing growth strategy. Furthermore, you will develop, maintain, and maximize long-term relationships with customers, and work closely with, Production, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Marketing, Research & Development and other cross-functional teams to execute the strategy and deliver profitable growth.Responsibilities IncludeDeliver the business plan for the assigned accounts in USA: sales volume, revenues and marginsTravel, arrange meetings, handle and grow business at assigned distribution and direct customersFully responsible for cost management such as travelling, entertainment and other expenses associated with sales activities within allocated budgetIdentify key stakeholders within the customers’ organization to build and foster strong relationships leading to mutually beneficial partnershipsCoordinate activities related to the projects with the Customer on the product’s application and development. Closely cooperate with Technical Experts to make sure project meets Customer needsProactively seek information about Customer’s strategy and product launchesWork together with external and internal regulatory teams to secure and maintain regulatory compliance for PCC productsWork closely with the Marketing, Product Manager, and R&D teams to generate appropriate field data and marketing materials to help drive awareness and demand for PCC SurfactantsEffectively collect market intelligence and translate it into robust marketing and innovation strategy to support growth in USAEnsure that Sales activities are in compliance with laws and regulations applicable to the region/country as well as with the PCC internal policyQualificationsThe following are required for the roleUniversity degree in chemistry or any other science-related field (Bachelor or higher)Several years of professional experience in surfactants business in Industries such as Lubricants, Polymers, Oilfield and HI&I, with experience in a sales-related role and has solid business relationships with key customersWorking knowledge of Industry customers, market trends, and technologies present on the United States MarketStrong cross-functional player who can work effectively across teams and drive resultsProven ability to develop and execute strategies generating positive resultsSelf-directed and independent working styleMust be able to identify and bring a resolution for difficult problemsEnergetic, self-motivatedDemonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all timesFluent in English (spoken and written)Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned country (around 50%)Requirement for a full driving licenseProficiency in MS Office applications, and CRM toolsPCC Chemax PCC Chemax, headquartered in Piedmont, South Carolina, is a strategic member of the global PCC Group - one of Europe’s largest and most established chemical producers.
