This role ensures building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipmentConduct regular facility walkthroughs and inspections to identify deficiencies or repair needsTroubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsRespond to service requests and on-demand maintenance needs in a timely mannerDocument work performed and track maintenance activities using the maintenance management systemEnsure all work complies with environmental, health, safety, fire protection, and building code requirementsSupport preventative maintenance programs and assist with facility-related projectsMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized conditionQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in building engineering, maintenance, or a related fieldStrong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systemsHVAC certification preferredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work from ladders up to 30 feetProficiency using basic computer systems, mobile devices, and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to pass a background checkBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and holidaysEqual Opportunity StatementBerman Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
