Mechanical Process Engineer Location: Chestertown, MD. Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000. Job Summary Drive innovation and efficiency by developing, testing, and implementing CNC programs using CAM software to support production operations. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to enhance manufacturing processes, create documentation, and provide training. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality Design and model jigs, fixtures, and tooling using CAD software Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including SOPs, detailed work instructions, and process flow charts Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accessible to production staff Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and address process‑related issues Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations Design and conduct experiments to validate new processes and improvements Train and support manufacturing staff on new processes and best practices Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements based on data analysis Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Process Engineer or similar role in manufacturing Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field Exceptional technical writing skills with proven experience creating detailed process and work instruction documents Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project management abilities High proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques and methodologies Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel and statistical analysis tools Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within teams Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family Training opportunities Paid vacation, PTO, and holidays Gym reimbursements, and more Equal Opportunity Employer The Dixon Group is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices and laws.
