Location: Barksdale AFB, LAClearance: SecretTravel: 10%Job DescriptionSummary/ObjectiveThe Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Manager is responsible for managing the B-52 CLS program at Barksdale AFB, LA with leadership and collaboration with the Minot AFB, ND management personnel . The CLS Manager provides supervision and operational leadership of CLS e mployees and other additional support staff to ensure contract compliance. Ensures inventory management, procurement and repair planning, implementation of supply support policies, management of Government Furnished Property (GFP), and cross-functional collaboration and support with onsite technicians and other CLS Managers or departments.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential job functions for this position include: Inventory Management and Supply Maintenance Maintain an ample supply of frequently used repair parts on-site, ensuring continuous availability to prevent operational interruptions. Conduct usage analyses to identify high-demand parts and implement inventory strategies that consider lead times and usage patterns. Procurement and Repair Planning Develop and execute plans that account for lead-time considerations, ensuring that material and service requirements for repairs and preventative maintenance are met. Utilize lead time performance measurement and analysis to identify and resolve procurement and repair bottlenecks, enhancing overall efficiency. Implementation of Supply Support Policies Implement and execute NOVA CLS Supply Support plans, policies, and procedures program-wide to standardize processes and optimize the cross-utilization of material assets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of supply support practices, maximizing the efficiency of logistics operations. Management of Government Furnished Property (GFP) Manage and maintain Government Furnished Property (GFP) repairable items, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements. Oversee the proper handling, storage, and tracking of GFP items to support ongoing repair and maintenance activities. Team Leadership and Collaboration Supervise, lead, and collaborate with CLS employees and Supply Technicians in the performance of daily maintenance, operation, and associated tasks in accordance with the established Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Foster a collaborative environment to ensure that CLS duties are executed efficiently, supporting overall program success. Other duties as required . In-depth understanding of managing and maintaining GFP repairable items, ensuring compliance with regulations. Ability to drive process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations across the program. Proficiency in implementing and executing standardized supply support plans, policies, and procedures. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Education and Experience A bachelor’s degre e in technical field, business administration , or similar discipline . A n equivalent combination of education and years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. 4-12 years of aircraft training simulation experience including system maintenance and logistic s . Experience with military management and have an understanding of military protocols and customs. Expertise in managing inventory levels, analyzing usage patterns, and ensuring the timely availability of repair parts. Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position will have authority or responsibility for the leadership and supervision of others.Work Environment, Programs, and ToolsWhile working in an office environment, this position will frequently be required to sit, talk, listen, use eye acuity, be on camera, and use hands/fingers to grasp or type. This position will also occasionally require walking and standing.This position will also frequently require the individual to use the following tools, equipment, or programs: Computer, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, Deltek Costpoint MX Connection, procurement software, inventory control/management systems, inventory tracking devices, logistics management systems, and more .Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis position will be on site at Barksdale AFB, LA and will require adherence to the Government site hours of operation. This position is a full-time salaried exempt position, expected to work 8 0 hours a payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the Government site hours of operations when Program support is needed.TravelMust be willing and able to travel. Estimated annual travel is 10% to support customer events and negotiations.
