Occupational Therapist Assistant Location: Humansville, MO Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,200 to $1,400 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00/Hourly. Summary: The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting provides rehabilitative services to residents under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). The OTA helps residents improve or maintain independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, and overall quality of life, primarily within a geriatric population. Responsibilities: ⁠Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: ADL retraining; therapeutic activities; therapeutic exercises; modalities; use of supportive and assistive devices; etc. Under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist. Assesses patient’s progress and communicates with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Reports effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervising Occupational Therapist. Provides consultation and to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the cognitive and/or physical disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides input to supervisor for discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements. Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements. Requirements Requirements: 1 years of OTA experience Required. Long Term Care (LTC) or SNF Experience Required. Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license Required. BLS Certification. Benefits Benefits: Referral Program - for each referral start.
