You'll know your clients, your installs, and your impact — because we're the kind of company where everyone's work is visible and valued."— The Welte TeamWhat you'll be doingThis role has real variety — you'll be out in the field, building your pipeline, and partnering with our technical team to make sure every job goes smoothly from first call to final install.Hunt for new commercial accounts through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and site visits — this is your territory to buildConduct site surveys and develop accurate estimates for alarm, IP surveillance, and access control projectsPrepare and present proposals to business owners, property managers, and facilities directorsFollow up on company-provided leads and convert them into happy clientsWork hand-in-hand with our installation crew for a seamless handoff every timeKeep your pipeline organized and share regular updates with the teamWhat we're looking forWe can teach products — we can't teach drive. If you've got the hunger to go find business and the experience to back it up, we want to meet you.2+ years of outside sales experience in security, low-voltage, AV, IT, or a related fieldReal knowledge of alarm systems, IP surveillance/CCTV, access control, or similar techExperience estimating jobs and building professional proposals from scratchA proven track record of prospecting — you make calls, knock on doors, and build relationshipsComfortable with commercial decision-makers: owners, property managers, facilities teamsSelf-managed and goal-oriented — you don't wait to be told what to doValid driver's license and reliable transportationNice to have (but not a dealbreaker)Familiarity with brands like Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Avigilon, or LenelExperience selling service agreements or recurring contractsExisting relationships with commercial clients in CT or the NY metro areaWhy you'll love it hereWe want this to be a place where you do the best work of your career.
