Remote Senior Cloud Governance Engineer Apex Systems is looking for a qualified individual to fill an opening for a fully Remote Senior Cloud Governance Engineer role. Please see the job description below for details of the role.Responsibilities: Deliver reliable, cost effective and resilient hosting cloud foundation/platforms with self-service capabilitiesApply knowledge of Cloud Service Providers and cloud governance best practices to workloads and foundation deployed in the cloudsDeploy and support multi cloud management platform, cloud operating models, organization structure, policies, auditing, logging, IAM, security guardrails, foundational landing zone and cloud providers best practices on multiple cloudsAssess existing cloud environments for foundation, platform and governance gaps related to security, role-based access, compliance, billing management and provide solutions to address the gaps and to reduce riskRecommend process improvements to address cloud governance concerns as a self-service part of the software development lifecycle CI/CD pipelineConsult with the cloud service providers and partners to design and deploy best practices and cloud operational pillarsCoach and mentor team members and colleagues on cloud governance best practicesDesign and implement multi-year governance roadmap for multiple public cloudsRequired Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years' hands on experience in Cloud-based development requiredMust have infrastructure as a code "IaaC" skills using PowerShell, Cloud formation templates, serverless or terraformExtensive experience in application/solution development skills using cloud native services, APIs, Python, Java, or AngularJSStrong understanding of modern development and testing techniques such as continuous delivery and continuous integrationExperience with cloud service delivery models and a strong understanding of their unique value propositionsOne or more certifications on each cloud (AWS Professional Certifications, Azure Professional Certifications, Oracle Cloud Certifications)Required Skills: Minimum of 5 years' hands on experience in Cloud-based development required Extensive experience in application/solution development skills using cloud native services, APIs, Python, Java, or AngularJS Strong understanding of modern development and testing techniques such as continuous delivery and continuous integration Experience with cloud service delivery models and a strong understanding of their unique value propositions Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: Background Check: Yes Notes: The client would ideally like someone to sit locally in Columbus, IN.
