PostgreSQL DBA Washington, DCPay From: $180,000 per year MUST:Active Top Secret with current or previously held SCI accessSr. Postgres SQL DBA10+ years of hands-on database administration experience, including at least 5 years of recent, deep expertise in PostgreSQL5+ years of experience as a database administrator or engineer with a primary focus on PostgreSQLExperience designing, implementing, managing, and tuning PostgreSQL databases in enterprise environmentsExperience owning high availability and disaster recovery configurations for PostgreSQL environmentsExperience enforcing database security controls, including encryption, key management, and compliance-aligned auditingExperience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSASFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, Amazon RDS)DoD 8140 (e.g., Security+, GSEC, or higher required)Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DBA Associate or Data Management Analytics (desired not required)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may substituteDUTIES:Ability to own core PostgreSQL responsibilities on day one and ramp quickly on program-specific tooling in a fast-paced, mission-critical environmentPerform database performance tuning, backups, replication, and recoveryEnforce access controls, auditing, governance, and retention policiesManage schemas, indexes, stored procedures, and permissionsManage Kubernetes clusters and support containerized database and application operationsAdminister CI/CD pipelines and automation supporting database and application deliveryParticipate in Agile ceremonies and collaborative delivery activitiesSupport production operations with urgency and operational disciplineCommunicate technical risks, issues, and recommendations clearly to stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong customer trust through technical expertise, responsiveness, and reliabilityQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
