Job Description Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a Fort Pierce Client.#TCFLPosition Summary:The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including trucks, and fleet vehicles. This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines (oil changes, filters, lubrication, etc.)Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and softwareRepair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and hydraulic systemsConduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standardsMaintain and repair heavy-duty equipment such as garbage trucksRead and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work ordersComplete accurate service records and documentation of repairsRespond to emergency breakdowns as neededEnsure a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all safety procedures and company policiesQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredTechnical certification in diesel technology preferredProven experience working with diesel engines and heavy equipmentStrong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systemsAbility to use diagnostic software and toolsValid driver's license (CDL preferred)Welding and fabrication experience is a plusWork Environment:Shop and field environmentExposure to noise, grease, chemicals, and varying weather conditionsMay require overtime, weekendsPandoLogic.
