Surgical Retina Surgeon

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401The Surgical Retina Specialist will be responsible for providing surgical and medical care to patients with retinal diseases and disorders. The specialist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients, and will be responsible for performing surgical procedures as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and treat patients with retinal diseases and disordersPerform surgical procedures as neededWork closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patientsStay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of retinal surgery and medicineParticipate in continuing education and professional development activitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical recordsCommunicate effectively with patients and their familiesQualificationsMedical degree from an accredited institutionCompletion of a residency in ophthalmologyFellowship training in surgical retinaBoard certification in ophthalmologyLicensure to practice medicine in the state of North DakotaExcellent surgical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentPacific Eye Surgeons is a multi-subspecialty, physician owned group of 25 MDs and 5 ODs. Subspecialties represented in our group include cornea and refractive surgery, retina, glaucoma, peds, plastics, and uveitis. Our anterior segment specialists average over 500 cataracts each, per year, operating in our physician owned ambulatory surgery center. We have 5 operating rooms onsite, managed by a very efficient team of nurses and staff.
