JD: A Japanese trading company is looking for an Office & Logistics Operations Coordinator.Location: Montvale, NJ ONSITESalary: Base Salary $48,000 plus bonusOther: Japanese skills are preferred, but not required.General SummaryThis position is responsible for providing administrative support as well as performinglogistics functions including freight transportation arrangement, documentation processing,inventory control, and providing customer service.Essential Job Functions1) Performs Logistics Functions Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure the accuracy of logistics documents. Handle import/export procedures, transportation arrangements, and schedule management. Prepare and manage B/L (Bill of Lading), L/C (Letter of Credit), and customs-related documents. Track shipment status and communicate promptly with related parties, including customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal staff.2) Performs Inventory Control FunctionsManage delivery and shipping schedules to maintain appropriate inventory levels.3) Provides Customer Service Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person. Respond to inquiries, handle complaints, and adjust delivery schedules. Track shipments and provide prompt, professional support to maintain customer satisfaction.4) Performs General Administrative Duties Handle incoming and outgoing mail, phone calls, and faxes. Organize documents, make copies, greet visitors, and perform other administrative duties as needed.Experience/Minimum Qualifications Needed1) Language SkillsAbility to effectively respond to questions from Management, Staff, clients, and the generalpublic in English.2) Language SkillsAbility to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups in English.3) Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to draw and interpret bar graphs.4) Reasoning SkillsAbility to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oralinstructions.5) Reasoning SkillsAbility to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.).6) Computer SkillsAbility to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook,and PowerPoint and be ableto design custom reports as necessary.7) Other SkillsMust be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
