Industrial Electrician – PM (12-Hour Continental Shift) – South Plant, Oak Creek, WI

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician – PM for a large-scale food manufacturing facility in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. This is a full-time role supporting 12-hour continental night shift operations in a high-volume production environment. The electrician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems and bakery production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and safety compliance.This role is critical to minimizing downtime, supporting continuous production, and maintaining safe and efficient plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and industrial equipmentTroubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in motors, transformers, relays, sensors, and control systemsInstall power supply wiring, conduit, and electrical components for new and existing equipmentWork with PLC systems, including connecting online, troubleshooting, and replacing I/O modulesPerform preventive and predictive maintenance (PMs) across plant equipmentComplete work orders using CMMS/EAM systems and maintain accurate documentationSupport production changeovers according to schedule requirementsRead and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematicsPrepare basic sketches and assist with parts sourcing and inventory for repairsTrain production staff on electrical safety and maintenance awareness when neededSupport continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical input to engineering and maintenance teamsEnsure compliance with Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and all electrical safety proceduresTechnical RequirementsStrong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting techniquesExperience working with PLC-controlled systems and industrial automationAbility to diagnose and repair motors, relays, transformers, sensors, and control panelsFamiliarity with electrical test equipment (multimeters, diagnostic tools, etc.)Knowledge of Wisconsin Electrical Code and industrial safety standardsExperience in manufacturing environments; food production experience is highly preferredAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure production settingQualificationsJourneyman Electrician license or technical/vocational training in Electrical/Electromechanical fieldMinimum 3–5 years of industrial electrician experienceExperience in large-scale manufacturing or food production is a strong plusValid driver’s license requiredAbility to work 12-hour shifts (day/night rotation as needed)Work Environment & Physical RequirementsIndustrial bakery/manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, noise, and moving equipmentMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, climbing, bending, confined spaces)Shift work (12-hour continental schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays)PPE required including steel-toe slip-resistant footwearCompensation$45.45 – $49.78 per hour (may increase for highly qualified candidates)About the Employer This opportunity is with a large, established food manufacturing operation specializing in high-volume bakery production.
