26-27 Substitute Custodian Pool, CUSTODIAL DEPARTMENT

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to read and write English Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies. Ability to make simple calculations Ability to follow written and verbal instruction Ability to communicate effectively (verbally) Must have the capacity to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations Manual dexterity and ability to work under pressure is desirable Description Primary Purpose Follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. Follow CDC and TEA COVID-19 protocols in frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high touch and working surfaces.
