SGT is privately owned by Alaska Natives, and stock is not publicly traded.About the RoleWe are seeking an Accountant to support the Accounting department with accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting tasks, and other duties as assigned.This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be located in the United States.ResponsibilitiesAccountingInput vendor and client invoices into the accounting system for active projectsFollow up with Project Managers for invoices needing approvalsWork with Project Managers to complete Accounts receivable analysis and reconciliationMaintain pay when paid schedulesMaintain Outstanding AP/ARProvide support for internal and external auditNew project set up and personnel assignment in the Unanet accounting systemSubmit accounts receivable invoices using Government pay sites, such as WAWF and IPPRequirementsRequired Experience and SkillsPrior experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and/or general accounting tasksPrior government contracting experience preferred - understands overhead, G&A, unallowable expenses, cost pools, etc.Experience with Unanet preferredExperience with WAWF preferredExcellent problem solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under minimal supervision and remain motivated is requiredAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion in a professional mannerStrong organizational skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and Access) requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional demeanor with a positive, solution-seeking attitude and personal responsibilityStrong organizational skills; ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesExperience with Paylocity preferredEducation and TrainingAssociate's degree in Accounting, Business or similar field; five (5) years of equivalent combination of training, education and experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of an Associate's degree.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
