This paid position offers opportunities for growth within a thriving transportation company dedicated to excellence. *Duties* * Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards * Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal delivery schedules for route driving and logistics cargo handling * Load and unload freight carefully, managing truck loading and unloading processes while ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations * Deliver freight to designated locations, maintaining professional customer service during pickups and drop-offs * Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns, documenting findings accurately * Follow all safety protocols related to manual handling, truck loading/unloading, and transportation of hazardous or sensitive cargo * Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in line with FMCSA regulations *Experience* * Proven experience in delivery driving or truck driving within a commercial setting, with familiarity in route driving across diverse terrains and distances * Hands-on experience operating tractor-trailers or similar large vehicles with manual transmissions * Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures, including freight handling for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized cargo such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods * Demonstrated understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA rules, hazard communication standards, and hazardous materials regulations * Ability to navigate using GPS systems confidently while managing time effectively on over-the-road (OTR) routes * Prior experience with automobile transportation or logistics cargo handling is highly desirable * Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), with endorsements relevant to the type of cargo transported (e.g., Hazmat endorsement preferred) Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
