This is a B2B, customer-facing role focused on managing inbound inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.**Location:** Cook County, IL (Onsite)**Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM**Type:** Contract-to-Hire (6 months)**Pay Rate:** $25-35/hour (based on experience level)_This role is open to candidates at different experience levels:_+ **Customer Service Representative:** $25-30/hour | 2+ years of experience+ **Customer Service Lead:** $30-35/hour | 5+ years of experience and/or prior leadership or mentoring experience**Key Responsibilities**+ Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email+ Handle inbound inquiries related to orders, product information, and documentation+ Process and track orders, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up+ Provide SDS sheets, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and other customer documentation+ Identify customer needs and collaborate with internal teams for resolution+ Maintain accurate customer records and system updates+ Escalate issues as needed to ensure customer satisfaction**Additional Responsibilities (Lead Level):**+ Handle escalated or complex customer issues+ Provide guidance and support to team members+ Assist with workflow coordination and process improvements+ Help ensure service levels and response times are met**Qualifications**+ **2+ years** of B2B customer service experience required (5+ years for Lead consideration)+ Experience in Life Sciences or similar industries (Abbott, AbbVie, Medline, etc.) strongly preferred+ Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment+ High attention to detail and organizational skills+ Comfortable working onsite daily and interacting with customers/suppliers_This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
