What You Will DoGFT is seeking a Project Manager to join our Geotechnical, Dams & Hydraulics team in Pennsylvania! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance in Mechanicsburg, PA.GFT’s Geotechnical, Dams & Hydraulics TeamOur specialists have the in-depth knowledge to excel on the most challenging assignments. We provide innovative solutions for foundations; underground construction; and water resource structures including dams and levees. We design new dams, dam rehabilitations, and dam decommissioning along with their appurtenant structures including spillways, outlet works, intakes and dam safety monitoring systems.What You’ll Be Challenged To DoThis role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate directly with a diverse group of design professionals including hydraulic, geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers through all phases of a project’s lifecycle. The role emphasizes a customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering the highest quality results on every projectIn this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:Serve in a leading role on multi-disciplinary water resource projects through managing day-to-day project activities on a variety of water resource projectsDetermining client requirements and developing suitable scopes of work, schedules, and budgets to achieve project objectivesMaintain adherence to the scope and schedule of a projectManagement of projects and a group of professionalsRoutinely meeting with clients and attending public facing meetingsCollaborating with clients, construction personnel, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement appropriate designs and project solutionsReviewing contractor submittals, evaluating the need for design changes, and providing appropriate recommendationsManaging the efforts of subcontractorsTraveling up to 30% to GFT offices, client locations, or project sites, which may include overnight staysPreparing high-quality reports, drawings, and specifications to meet scope, schedule, cost, and regulatory requirementsEducation | Experience:What You Will Bring To Our FirmBachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license required10-15 years of work experience as a geotechnical or water resource engineer with direct experience in water resource engineeringProven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and projectsComprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, concepts, and practices applied to water resource projectsExceptional oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in standard office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlooWhat We Prefer You BringMaster’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in geotechnical or hydraulicsExperience with AutoCAD and Civil3DCompensationThe salary range for this role is $130,000 - $155,000.
