Full Time Extendable)Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Data Center Network Technician L2 to provide onsitesupport at data center locations in Ohio. The technician will work closely with remotenetwork engineers to troubleshoot fiber connectivity, network devices, and physical networkinfrastructure.Key Responsibilities • Assist remote engineers with troubleshooting fiber patch and network connectivity issues.• Troubleshoot physical connectivity involving fiber optics, network devices, racks, patch panels, and structured cabling.• Perform fiber cleaning and MPO troubleshooting.• Use and interpret VFL (Visual Fault Locator) readings.• Perform basic Layer 1/Layer 2 network troubleshooting, including Ethernetconnectivity, switch ports, patching, and link status.• Provide onsite Smart Hands / Hands & Feet support and timely updates throughproject communication channels.Required Skills & Experience • Hands-on experience working in data center environments.• 2+ years of network/IT infrastructure experience, preferably in data centers.• Good understanding of basic networking concepts, including Ethernet, switching,VLANs, ports, and physical connectivity.• Experience with fiber optics, fiber patching, and structured cabling.• Familiarity with network switches, routers, racks, patch panels, and network devices.• Experience with fiber cleaning and MPO troubleshooting.• Ability to use and interpret a VFL (Visual Fault Locator).• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.• Ability to coordinate effectively with remote network engineering teams.Required Tools • VFL (Visual Fault Locator)• Basic networking toolkit• Required PPE• Smartphone with reliable internet access for project communication/chat groups Preferred: Candidates located in Ohio or within reasonable traveling distance of the assigneddata center locations.
