CNC Machinist III (Setup/Programmer)

We are hiring a CNC Setup Machinist with the ability to independently complete mill and lathe setups, inspect parts to blueprint, and run production after proving out programs. This position supports high-precision aerospace and defense component production in a fast-paced environment.Compensation range: $30 to $33 per hour DOEWe are located in Carson, CA. You must live within 25 miles of our location.Required: Must be a US Citizen or legally allowed to work in the United States of AmericaKey Responsibilities:Load/unload parts and perform part changeoversSet up tooling and work holding for aluminum, stainless, and titanium partsRead and understand prints, routers, and G-codeInspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and CMM inspection sheetsRecord data for in-process and final part checksReport program or tooling errors to programmers/engineersMinimum Qualifications:3–5 years CNC machining experience, with setup experience3 and 4 axis millsExperience with HAAS, Fanuc, DMG or ArumatikAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawingsStrong knowledge and ability to interpret GD&TProficient knowledge of first article processes and quality standardsTechnical certificate in machining or equivalent hands-on trainingFamiliarity with AS9100 environment is a plusAbility to stand multiple hours per shiftFlexibility for OT (M-F and Saturdays when needed)Preferred Certifications:7+ years CNC machining experience; 3+ in aerospace/defense preferredMastery in setups, fixture design, and first articlesMills up to 5-axis positioningLathes with live tooling (C&Y axis)Strong knowledge of tool cutter geometry and selectionKnowledge of feeds and speedsAbility to troubleshoot program/fixture/tool selectionsAbility to edit programs directly at the controlNIMS CNC Machining Level II/IIIHAAS, Fanuc, DMG or Arumatik controller certificationAS9100 or ISO 9001 QMS experienceMasterCAM certificationPowered by JazzHRLGNz9KQ9TW
