Position Type: Administration/Assistant Principal Date Posted: 5/11/2026 Location: Parkview Elementary School Date Available: 07/01/2026 Assistant Principal - Parkview Elementary School Westville School District Parkview Elementary School 12-Month Position The Westville School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered educational leader to serve as Assistant Principal at Parkview Elementary School. The successful candidate will support the principal in the daily operation of the school, promote a positive and safe school climate, and provide instructional leadership to staff in support of student achievement. The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff, students, families, and the community to support high-quality instruction, effective student interventions, positive behavior supports, and the overall success of all learners. Qualifications Candidates should possess:New Jersey Principal Certification or appropriate administrative certificationMaster's degree requiredExperience with elementary education preferredKnowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, intervention systems, and student supportsExperience using data to inform instructional and school-level decisionsStrong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skillsCommitment to a positive school culture and high expectations for all studentsRequired criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status Primary Responsibilities The Assistant Principal will assist the Principal with:Daily school operations and building supervisionInstructional leadership and support for teachersStudent discipline, attendance, counseling, and due process proceduresImplementation of academic and behavioral interventionsUse of student data to support achievement and school improvement goalsParent communication, student meetings, and community relationsStaff supervision, professional development, and school climate initiativesSchool safety procedures, emergency planning, and student welfareAdditional duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent Salary: $101,000-$110,000 commensurate with experience and in accordance with district guidelines.
