Martis Camp isn't just a place to work, it's a place to belong, contribute, and be part of something truly remarkable.POSITION SUMMARY:Martis Camp is seeking professional and hospitality-driven Fitness Center Attendants to join our team for the Summer 2026 season.As a key member of the Fitness Team, this role sets the tone for the Member experience — creating a welcoming, organized, and elevated environment from the moment Members arrive. This position works closely with the Fitness Director, Fitness Coordinator and Instructors, while collaborating cross-departmentally to deliver a seamless and exceptional wellness experience.The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 2–3 years of hospitality or customer service experience, a positive and proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for fitness and wellness.You'll join an energizing team all while gaining experience working at one of the country's best, most sought-after private clubs. This opportunity has the potential to grow into opportunities for future seasons, including a full-time, year-round position.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Warmly greet Members as they enter the Fitness Center, making a point to learn and use names and create genuine connections.Use our reservation system to make, change and edit reservations, and answer pertinent Member questions as they ariseAnswer phone calls and emails, fielding Member questions and requestsUse our POS system to charge Members for classes, personal training sessions and drinksKeep the Fitness Center organized and clean, and re-stock the gym, pool deck, and fitness studio with water and towels as neededUphold our Fitness Center policies, and ensure Members follow those guidelinesAssist in setting up and cleaning up fitness classes, including but not limited to helping move light furniture, setting out yoga mats and exercise equipment, and sanitizing and organizing equipment and mats after class.Prepare and help maintain the pool deck each day, including but not limited to arranging, cleaning, and organizing swimming equipment, and stocking pool-side restrooms with towels, water, and toiletriesUphold and maintain a standard of excellence when it comes to all facets of hospitality, and take pride in the details and presentation of the Fitness Center each dayKeep the fitness facility safe, and be ready to respond to an emergency, if needed (CPR and AED training/certification will be provided if not certified)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES :Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work weekends, holidays, weekdays.Ability to interact and develop positive relationships within the organization.Effective listening, interpersonal, and guest service skills.Maintain the highest ethical and moral standards at all times.Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete assignments within various time constraints.Required 18 years or olderEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES :Minimum 2-3 years of hospitality, customer service and/or fitness experience in high-end gyms, hotels, resorts, and private clubs preferredCPR / First Aid / AED CertificationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift items (weights up to 50 lbs., patio furniture up to 50 lbs.)Ability to work outside to help setup for fitness classes or other events.Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
