Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and arecurrently seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to join our team located in Nashua,NH. The Hardware Design Engineer would be part of an established team ofdedicated signal integrity engineers and engineers of other disciplines who areresponsible for both component development as well as customer support on newproduct introduction.RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborating on a multi-disciplinary team in the development of nextgeneration high speed backplane interconnect productsDesign, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speedelectrical connectors and cable-based interconnectAssist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectorswith their high-speed data transmission requirementsSupport the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for productbreak-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electricalengineering expertiseIdentify and resolve signal Integrity issues in PCB layout, and directinglayoutApplication of Circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCBlayout principles for high-speed digital designREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:BS in Electrical Engineering or PhysicsHands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component andcircuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methodsExperience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA,pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipmentUnderstanding of electro-magnetic principlesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics2+ years of industry experienceExperience in component design and application of high-speed interconnectsinto communications systemsExperience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as ANSYSHFSS and Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MATLAB, and ADSAmphenol Corporation is proud of our reputation as an excellent employer.
