Mechanical Engineering Technician

Our client in Andover, MA is looking to bring on a Mechanical Engineering Tech. This is a direct hire opportunity. Duties Assist Engineers with the creation and assembly of custom Thermal/Mechanical fixtures by creating and sourcing mechanical/machined parts, hardware, and plumbing components for liquid cooling test fixtures Support Mechanical/Thermal Engineers with the thermal evaluation of DC-DC and AC-DC component power supplies Prepare power supply modules for testing by adding test leads, thermocouples, and components Assemble power supply modules into custom mechanical/thermal test fixtures which include thermal management solutions, electrical wiring and digital communication interfaces Setup basic electrical test equipment to record Voltage, Current, Power and Temperature Capture thermal and electrical data using semi-automated test equipment during power supply evaluations Qualifications Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician or in a similar industrial mechanic role with hands-on experience in mechanical design, fabrication, and troubleshooting Associates Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent 4-7+ years of experience in an Engineering Aide or Technician role Hands on experience fabricating parts for lab scale test fixtures using amateur/DIY manual machine tools Ability to solder basic components to a PCB and create wiring and cabling assemblies for test setups Salary range: $73-80,000K Pay: $73,606.71 - $80,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
