Senior Java Developer Columbus, OH (05 Days onsite)Contract Job Description:Expert in Core Java and design technique as well as experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems/infrastructure for large-scale programs (e.g., Expert Engineers) starting to be firm-wide resources working on projects across ClientIs multi-skilled with expertise across software development lifecycle and toolsetMay be recognized as a leader in Agile and cultivating teams working in Agile frameworksSought out as coach for at least one technical skillStrong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, securityStays abreast of cutting-edge technologies/trends and uses experience to influence application of those technologies/trends to support the business; may give speeches and outside the firm, writes articlesJob Responsibilities:Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representationRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 9+ years applied experienceProficiency developing micro services using Java, AWS technologies using Spring Boot frameworkExperience leading technology projectsExperience managing technologistsProficient in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experienceExperience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplinesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:OOP principles and design patterns.Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in JavaAWS cloud services (EC2,S3, Lambda).Familiarity with deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
