Drive time and mileage paid for use of a personal vehicle when travel is requiredWhat Makes This Role Elite?Unique Challenges: Perform precision boom lift maneuvering and voluntary vertical steel structure climbingAdvanced Environment: Work daily alongside advanced robotics and next-gen conveyor systemsExclusive Status: Join a small, specialized group of climbers within Wachter’s elite low-voltage divisionPaid Training: For the right candidate, Wachter covers the cost of climbing school, certifications, and high-end climbing gearCore Responsiblitlies:Precision Installation: Install structured cabling (CAT5e and Fiber Optic) with extreme neatness and adherence to bundling safety regulationsHigh-Altitude Maneuvering: Expertly operate boom and scissor lifts to reach tight areas and heightsOn-the-Job Learning: Expand your skills with OJT for CCTV, IP Video, Physical Access Control, and Wireless LAN infrastructureCollaboration: Work in harmony with multiple trades to meet tight timelines and project scopesSafety First: Strictly adhere to Wachter, customer, and OSHA safety standardsWhat You Bring to the Team:Technical Expertise: Proven experience with CAT5e, fiber optics, and networkingIndustry Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC, TIA/EIA, and BICSI standards. (Certs like Systimax, Panduit, or Corning are a huge plus!)Field Skills: Ability to read blueprints/site maps; conduit installation experience is a plusSoft Skills: Strong people skills and the ability to thrive under tight deadlinesTools & Mobility: You own basic telecom tools/PPE and have reliable transportationSchedule and Travel Requirements:Road Warrior Spirit: Must be available for extensive travel (6-8 weeks at a time)Ultimate Flexibility: Willing to work on-call, early mornings, nights, and weekends as project requirements shiftDriving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean record (no DUI/DWI within the last 3 years)We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
