Nurse Practitioner | Family Practice Location: Massachusetts Employer: Barton Associates Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 36-day assignment in Massachusetts, starting Apr 20, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult and pediatric patients, including diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing routine wellness exams, and prescribing medications. Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, focusing on various primary care cases. Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult and pediatric patients Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and URI presentations Perform routine wellness exams, preventive screenings, and annual physicals Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans as appropriate Perform minor in office procedures such as suturing, lesion removal, and joint injections as applicable Collaborate with integrated behavioral health, dental, and care coordination teams Document encounters accurately in the EMR and complete charts in a timely manner Educate patients on disease management, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications Participate in team huddles and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed Additional Information Required Board Certifications: Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) EMR: Epic Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
