Cobol engineer

Job TitleRoles and Responsibilities:Quickly learn and take over full-time associate's development, maintenance and production support for assigned applications. Full-time associate will be available for support as necessary.Provide mainframe COBOL DB2 & JCL development and testing support for quick and accurate responses to ad hoc bulk-data/reporting requests from both internal & external customers.Provide day-to-day mainframe COBOL DB2 development, maintenance & production support for EIS Core Assets statistical claims and enrollment applications.Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervisionOther duties as assigned5-8 Years Experience in the Following:Demonstrated experience within the healthcare insurance industry. Knowledge of claims systems a plus, specifically FEP claimsKnowledge of EDI specifically ANSI X.12 transactions, e.g. 834, 837, etc.
