Senior Network Engineer

If that excites you more than it intimidates you, keep reading!What You Will Do:As our Senior IT Network Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical expert responsible for the design, operation, security, and continuous improvement of network infrastructure.You will ensure enterprise and manufacturing environments operate securely, reliably, and efficiently while meeting defense compliance requirements (CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, CUI).This role combines hands-on execution with strategic engineering, acting as both the owner of day-to-day network performance and the final escalation point for complex issues.Primary Responsibilities:Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise network infrastructureOwn day-to-day operation, stability, and performance of network systemsConfigure, maintain, and upgrade routers, switches, firewalls, VPNsEstablish network standards and cybersecurity best practicesAct as escalation point for complex network issuesMonitor performance and ensure high availabilityImplement segmentation across IT, OT, and CUI environmentsManage firewall (Palo Alto), IDS/IPS, and VPN securityEnsure compliance with CMMC Level 2 and NIST 800-171Support audits with documentation and evidenceIntegrate networking across on-prem and cloud (AWS, Azure)Maintain diagrams and configuration standardsDrive automation and modernization initiativesPreferred Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical ExpertiseLAN/WAN design, routing (OSPF, BGP), switchingPalo Alto firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNTCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPSLinux, server environments, VMware, Hyper-VAWS and Azure networkingHigh availability and scalable network designNetwork segmentation and Zero TrustWireshark and packet analysis toolsSecurity Monitoring & Threat DetectionXDR (Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike)SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk)Log analysis and correlationIncident response supportAI & Modern Network IntegrationSupport Microsoft Copilot and AI toolsUnderstand AI traffic security and governanceSecure AI service integrationDefense Compliance & Secure Network ArchitectureCMMC Level 2 alignmentNIST 800-171 controlsCUI protectionNetwork segmentation IT/OTDefense-in-depth architectureExperience7–12+ years network engineering experiencePreferred CertificationsPCNSE/PCNSACCNP/CCIESC-200CISSPAzure/AWS certificationsCore CompetenciesProblem solvingOwnershipAdaptabilityCommunicationSalary Range:Please note the typical hiring range is $127,500 - $172,500 annually.
