Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing and construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience with various welding techniques, fabrication, and blueprint reading to produce high-quality metal components and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of safety standards, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work on diverse projects including ductwork, pipe systems, and structural assemblies. The position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced welding skills and tools.
Duties
Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding on various metals including sheet metal and pipe components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate parts and assemblies.
Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal components.
Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts to move materials safely around the worksite or shop floor.
Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated parts according to ASME codes & standards.
Perform maintenance on welding equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times.
Assist in the assembly of structural frameworks, ductwork, or mechanical systems as needed.
Follow project schematics and technical instructions for complex fabrication tasks involving machining or pipe threading.
Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety regulations related to construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
Experience
Proven experience in construction site welding or manufacturing environments with a focus on structural steel, ductwork, or piping systems.
Proficiency in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for fabrication projects.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, pipe threading, soldering, assembly processes, and basic math skills for measurements.
Ability to operate forklifts or cranes safely within a construction or manufacturing setting is preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
