Construction Project Manager
Position Overview:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Project Manager / Estimator to join our team at RJ Tide Construction Company, Inc., a leading concrete subcontractor specializing in high-quality concrete construction projects. This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our concrete projects, from initial planning and estimating to final completion. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of concrete construction techniques, excellent project management abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results while adhering to strict timelines and budgets.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all phases of concrete construction projects, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution, to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.Perform detailed project takeoff and estimates.Collaborate closely with clients, general contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to review project requirements, specifications, and timelines, and ensure alignment with project objectives.Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, identifying key milestones, resources, and deliverables required for successful project execution.Oversee the selection, procurement, and management of subcontractors (if needed), suppliers, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.Occasional site visits and inspections may be necessary to monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to project plans and specifications.Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and conflicts, implementing effective solutions and contingency plans to ensure project continuity and success.Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting to senior management, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing project profitability.Maintain clear and open communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts in a timely and professional manner.Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards, and facilitate necessary inspections and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, providing leadership, guidance, and support to project teams to promote high performance and accountability.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in concrete construction project management.Extensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, equipment, and industry best practices.Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules.Proficiency in project management software, takeoff software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience working collaboratively with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.Working Conditions:The Construction Project Manager will primarily work from our office headquarters, with minimal visits to construction sites as required. The role may involve occasional travel to client meetings, project sites, and industry events.
