Fine Machine Technician

Technician Position At DNAThe Technician position at DNA will be responsible for supervising the equipment and making sure all projects are completed on time for their specific area. They must also ensure that quality and safety are a top priority while working with the machinery.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollows safety rules 100% of the time.Contributes to a safe work environment by following housekeeping guidelines.Maintains good attendance.Follows instructions and works to meet daily job assignments and KPI's.Strictly follow the instructions during operations, as well as maintenance of the equipmentCleaning of working areasManage techniques, technologies and tools of the process.Check results of automatic surfacing process.Operate FEMCO machines.Remove wheels from machines.Visually inspect wheels.Management of machining blades and other consumables.Compiling and managing the machining programs.Process preparation work when changing wheel types.Providing technical support to on-site production.Reporting purchase plans for machining consumables.Machining process improvements.Maintenance of all equipment for process, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.Complete all required paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned or designated.Skills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDSix months experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and understand written documentsOrganizational CultureWork safely and follow rules and guidelines for safe workReporting to work on time and with a positive attitudeResponsible for staying focused on tasks at handBeing responsible for work performance and completing tasks throughout the dayMaintains a good working relationship with co-workersSupport a positive and steady workflow through the companyWorks with a sense of urgency when neededSupport, coach or mentor co-workers when neededPositively support change throughout the companyPhysical Work ConditionsMust be able to work in a hot environment.Must be able to lift varying weightsMust be able to push or pull carts of wheels.Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day.Must be able to wear personal protective equipment when required.*Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
